Need help with the name of a famous poem please!?

I read a poem in my English lit anthology book written by a female, and it was simply a string of "rules" from the perspective of a mom to her daughter. Something along the lines of "Always say please" and "Never speak out of turn," but I don't remember if those were actual lines. It had a sy vibe to it, kind of like Toni Cade Bambara's works. I've pored through my books and the internet looking for the poem but no luck. Please help.

What's up with the ps3 haters?

I wanna know why people are so down on the ps3. As I see, it is usually the 360 fans. But what is so bad about the ps3? I have a wii and a ps3 and in my opinion, are both better than the 360. I'm not saying the 360 is a bad console, but it's not much too it. OK, the 360 has xbox live and halo 3. That's pretty much it. And people always say how the ps3 is so expensive. 360 is $400.If you have xbox live, it's going to be far over $600 in no time. Take away halo 3 and what do you have? NOTHING! When I ask my friends what's good about the 360, all they can say is halo 3. A single game doesn't make a console. PS3 already has better graphics than 360 and graphics are still getting better. And I heard of so many people whos 360 broke down as soon as thet got it. PS3 will last you a long time. PS3 has no exclusive games? How about Uncharted: Drakes Fortune,MGS 4,Resistance,GTA 4,Devil May Cry 4, and others. What makes the ps3 bad?I guarantee you that a big argument gets started with comments.
