Taking ex to court for the third time?

My ex husband is a lawyer he is also a severe opiate addict. I am taking him to court for the third time for nonpayment of alimony. This time I am acting as my own attorney, as my lawyer refused to bring up his addiction during our divorce. Can I bring up his addiction during the hearing as it has direct bearing on him not paying alimony. I am also hoping that the judge will order him to treatment as he is way beyond helping himself.
