Why have I not been able to connect with Yahoo Messenger these past few days? I have Internet connection.?

I have Internet connection, but cann't connect to Yahoo Messenger . When I try to access "sign in problems" or "new user" the screen says that I am not connected. Is there a problem with Yahoo IM?
